As a digital department within a larger litho establishment, we were finding that we were spending a disproportionate amount of time administering the small jobs that went through digital, leaving less time to focus on the bigger customers, and pushing our admin costs up beyond what was competitive for short run work. RTQ’s comprehensive back end management system is now enabling us to administer a large amount of our work from within the production department, saving us time, money and gaining us more customers by the day, all of whom are greatly impressed by our new emphasis on high technology solutions within the business.
RTT is software of such power and scale that it will be some time before we are able to use it to its full potential. More than anything else we are expecting RTT to make us a lot of money, as the margins on simple gift products sold to the general public are an order of magnitude greater than what would consider for general commercial work.
With the simple purchase of two pieces of software we have elevated ourselves to the status of one of the most technologically advanced digital printers in the country. The support from RedTie is excellent, and the staff are highly knowledgeable in both digital printing and IT. I cannot imagine how we would even begin to build a system of this complexity for ourselves, although I am convinced it would cost considerably more and take many months, if not years.
RedTie software has given our digital department a new focus − we can concentrate on simply printing and finishing for our trade customers, and we can make good money on selling to the general public in the local area."
Neil Parr-DaviesAlthough our initial requirement was for a web system where customers could create personalised, colour managed, high resolution PDF files that would print on any digital device we soon realised the possibilities are endless! As the system shows the cost and stock level of each product and has advanced reporting features it is possible not only to sell anything using the system but also see buying trends and react to them.
RTT & RTQ are continually evolving as a result of RedTie’s willingness to have the best possible product. Our experience of their support, how well it works and our customers feedback gives us no doubt that they already have it".
Jason RichardsUsing the software to enables Graphic Arts sales teams to produce personalised or generic marketing material to order.
By focusing purely on producing targeted marketing material, cutting wastage and warehousing, HP have made a saving of over 50% year-on-year.
Francois Martin"Personalised collateral, fine-tuned to its audience is very much the future.Variable-data documents facilitated by web-to-print solutions are effective marketing tools, while on-demand marketing material reduces costs.
Many print on-demand solutions that exist today have become too complex − people don’t have the time or need for such software. Our marketing and sales teams require a simple and quick solution and this is where RedTie has got it right - the software is intuitive, pragmatic and meets all of our internal requirements."
The HP Indigo, HP Scitex and HP Designjet sales teams have access to a database of HP marketing collateral and templates, which they can personalise to print brochures and direct mail pieces on-demand. In addition to the sales teams, the software is also being used by HP Indigo’s solutions architects and by Digital People − HP Indigo’s UK channel partner to help drive sales of Indigo presses.
Alon Bar-Shany"The software solution that RedTie has developed has provided a centralised solution for our sales teams to order timely, personalised and relevant print on-demand. Since rolling out the solution in the UK, we have had some excellent feedback from our sales force and to date the trial is going well.
In addition, the software is proving to be a valuable tool in our sales process − our HP Indigo sales force is using the software as a sales tool to help introduce the web-to-print concept to customers considering purchasing an HP Indigo digital press."
