Today Formula 1 motor racing is one of the most popular and lucrative sports in the world, watched by millions and attracting huge sponsorship and television deals.

Lewis Hamilton’s second win of the season was also his fourth in China, making him comfortably the most successful driver at the Shanghai International Circuit. It was another dominant performance from the Mercedes driver, who recorded his second hat trick (pole, win, fastest lap) of the 2015 season (the other being Australia) and the seventh of his career.

Another up and coming driver, Adam Morgan repaid his title sponsors WIX Filtration with a superb race two win at the final round of the British Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch, a race considered by many to be the race of the year. The massive crowd were on their feet throughout an enthralling classic encounter as Morgan became the first man in history to take a Mercedes Benz to outright victory in his WIX Racing 'A' Class.

Wix Filtration in the UK, also last month decided to utilise the winning benefits of Red Tie to enable them to automate their UK and European online print orders.

Web to print is becoming easier and easier to use, so the barriers to entry for anyone thinking about offering web to print have never been lower.

As with the current Formula 1 teams that find themselves competing with tighter and tighter lap times, and smaller margins for error, with Web to Print, the danger is that once everyone has the same technology, the result is a price war. This is immediately obvious looking at online search results for A4 flyers, business cards etc.

The reasons a year or two ago for first investing in Web to Print, such as elimination of duplication and efficiency in handling standard jobs, may no longer be sufficient. So to meet evolving conditions, Red Tie launched Red Tie Plus, to allow a wider range of print products to be priced and ordered that do not fit into the typical template product and also the newly released customer data tools which are designed to help with marketing, backed up by integrated customer support. As with the pit crews, without extensive support, you're destined to come in last!

It is this that will enable those who produce or procure print to drive new types of print product to the market. It is about offering more at higher margins rather than simply higher speed and lower price. It's why Red Tie concentrates on education and support (technical and sales), not just on how to use our software, it's about winning by conducting business online in the smartest way possible.
